A really sharp digital presence is a key success factor for a business such as the Swedish Real Estate Agency. Customers' expectations of a cohesive experience are high, with access to a large number of services and rich information. As a digital partner, Valtech is responsible for all the Swedish Real Estate Agency services—a total of about 20 different systems and services.

A starting point in the collaboration is that the amount of systems and services required a very flexible architecture, a microarchitecture, in order to be fast and cost-effective.

With new architecture and a more agile way of working, the Swedish Real Estate Agency has managed to raise the quality and shorten the time-market. Now, about 95 percent of the code produced can be utilized in practice, compared with the previous 60 percent.

In order to create confidence in the process of moving all of the Swedish Real Estate Agency's digital systems from one supplier to another, a roadmap was put together with handover meetings, screenings, sets of parallel environments, documentation, identification of improvement areas, automation and plans for takeover by rolling out systems in production. At the same time, working methods and support systems were defined so that close and effective collaboration between the Swedish Real Estate Agency and Valtech would be possible.

Systems that were gradually taken over during a period of five months were CRM systems, internal and external web applications, Mobile apps, systems for creating object descriptions, monitoring and budgeting systems, personnel management systems and more.

The focus has been to create a partnership and collaboration that increases through an agile mindset and associated methods: transparency, time to market, quality. The team, comprised both of Valtech employees and key stakeholders from the Swedish Real Estate Agency, is located on Valtech's premises. Because the team also manages what is being developed, we have created transparency and increased the quality of the deliveries. Just as key stakeholders sit in the team in our office, those who work with support sit together with the Swedish Real Estate Agency in their office.

Our cross-functional team takes responsibility for the development, management and operation of the Swedish Real Estate Agency's website. We work to automate testing and delivery to enable continuous and secure deliveries for production. We can make multiple changes everyday without any disruptions to our end-users. The management responsibility in the team rotates so as not to create personal dependence as well as motivation and to create a sense of responsibility for the systems.

The team has live monitoring of how the systems are performing and can thus proactively work on adjusting and improving the systems. Often, the team can detect and correct critical errors before first-line support reports problems. The team has a close collaboration with Episerver hosting that manages the infrastructure in the operating environment.

Personnel admin is an internal tool at the Swedish Real Estate Agency which is used to administer employees (brokers, franchisees and assistants), stores and franchise areas. Here you post new and edit (or remove) employees, stores and areas. The system was tailor-made in REACT, which enables real-time validation of inputs as well as fast charging times, specifically for the Swedish Real Estate Agency.
