What we are looking for:

This integral position enables Valtech to access the growth trajectory of our most strategic partners, including Databricks, Twilio Segment, Snowflake, and MongoDB, with the potential for additional platform partnerships as the ecosystem evolves. The purpose of this role is to provide insight, understanding, and connectivity both internally and externally to build our business with these partners. The Partner Development Manager will ensure all partner programs, levers, and investment paths are fully utilized for Valtech and our clients, acting as the conductor of the 4 B’s: Be Liked, Be Known, Be Aligned, Be Famous.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner Strategy

Setting the areas of focus with the partner, including but not limited to:

  • The solution areas that will drive the right revenues for Valtech.
  • The ISVs that are getting the most investment from the partners and collaborating with Service Line & Vertical Leads on areas of focus.
  • The regional & territory expansion strategy, from a service design and go-to-market standpoint.
  • Tracking partner-specific KPIs and ensuring they align with Valtech’s business growth metrics.
  • The capacity and capability networks.

Partner Development & Growth

  • Own key regional and territory Senior Partner relationships.
  • Own Partner Activation and manage its execution across the Service Lines, Partner Sales Managers, Partner Development Associates, PMs, and Vertical Leaders.
  • Own the overarching direction and execution of the partner tactical strategy in the region and the business education program.
  • Own the TCV number for partner growth regionally and/or territorially.
  • Qualify and meet with Field and Regional Partner Sales leads to generate inbound and co-sell opportunities.
  • Own the creation and curation of the joint business plan with the partner in the territory and be accountable for meeting the expectations on our end.
  • Collaborate closely with the Partner Sales Manager to ensure aligned strategies and co-selling opportunities with partners.

Sales

  • Expected to be involved in all pursuits in the region/territory where the partner has a significant stake or influence in the pursuit, unless the Partner Sales Manager deems it unnecessary.
  • Expected to be knowledgeable about all funding programs to help support the Sales & Account Leaders in the pursuit.
  • Expected to be responsible for pushing funding through and capturing MDF to support our joint strategy with the partner.
  • May act as an executive sponsor on the account.
  • Work with Valtech account leads to create joint account plans with the partner, ensuring collaboration and non-conflict with other plans, and maintaining regular review and cadence of these plans.
  • Responsible for working with Account Leaders in their territory to ensure all relationships are in place and that levers are being used to leverage the Partner’s Investment in the account.

Proposition Development

  • Act as an orchestrator galvanizing the resources required to develop the proposition.
  • Ensure propositions align with market trends and bring value to both Valtech and clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on creating a plan in cooperation with the partner and ensure that the proposition has senior partner sponsorship.
  • Expected to attend briefings and seminars on the direction of solutions and workloads to understand and quantify the opportunity for Valtech and work collaboratively with others to build and publicize the business case, including performance metrics.
  • Once a proposition is designed and approved, ensure it is brought to market efficiently and brief the business on it, collaborating with demand and partner ops to make sure it is easily accessible.

What you should have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in partner/channel management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Collaboration is key across teams and departments, ensuring seamless communication and alignment to drive partner success and achieve shared business goals.
  • Platform-specific experience with key partners such as Databricks, Twilio Segment, Snowflake, or MongoDB is required, along with familiarity with cloud-based solutions, APIs, or data management tools.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful global partner programs and teams that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
