Bengaluru, India is home to Valtech’s largest office globally. We are proud to have integrated renewable energy sources here, accelerating our global progress towards net-zero.
Bengaluru’s solar adventure towards a brighter future
Driven by our SBTi-validated Near-term (2030) and Net-zero (2040) emissions targets, Valtech India has installed solar panels covering 835 square meters at our Bengaluru offices. This initiative generates 100 kilowatts of clean energy, producing 400 kilowatt-hours daily.
The solar installation will reduce Valtech India's carbon emissions by up to 76 tonnes of CO2 equivalent annually while boosting our renewable energy capacity. The panels are forecast to supply 30% of our Bengaluru office's electricity needs, saving emissions equivalent to driving a gasoline-powered car 1230 kilometers daily.
The financial payback period is just four and a half years, making this a “sustainable” investment in every sense of the word.
As an organisation, our commitment to sustainability is paramount. We are serious about reducing our carbon footprint. Embracing renewable energy not only reflects our corporate goals but also enhances our operational strength and environmental responsibility. This initiative of installing a solar array on our building gives us access to a clean, reliable source of energy.

Embracing sustainability further
Becoming a more sustainable business is multi-faceted and we all have to make changes across multiple different operational areas. In Bengaluru, we have also adopted LED lighting and implemented electronics recycling practices. Additionally,
our Begaluru campus features two rainwater harvesting wells, helping conserve the city’s valuable water supply.
“It has been so exciting to watch this new solar development at our Bengaluru office. The team took this from idea to reality in an impressively short time, showing how quickly we can all make significant carbon savings when we put our minds to it.
Given the size of our Bengaluru office, this makes a good dent in our global Scope 2 emissions and those of Valtech India. I’m keen to see what we can do next!”
