Valtech and Lufthansa nominated for a UX Design Award

The nominations for the 2019 edition of the UX Design Awards have been announced, and the Lufthansa ‘Fuel ordering app for pilots‘ jointly created with Valtech, is nominated! A jury of seven experts selected around 50 products and concepts from more than 20 countries to participate in thisinternational competition. 

5000 Lufthansa pilots and counting

The fuel ordering app is used by more than 5000 Lufthansa pilots, who use the app to determine how much fuel they need for a flight. The app should help them reduce unnecessary fueling, saving weight (and so fuel requirements) and reducing CO2 emissions enormously.

Global competition

The UX Design Awards are a global competition with a clear focus on user experience. With the awards, International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) honors innovative solutions that increase the added value of new applications, technologies and services through positive experiences – and thus contribute to shaping a future-oriented world.

The competition is held annually and presented at the global technology show IFA in Berlin, Germany (key figures in 2018: more than 245,000 visitors, 6,000 journalists, 1,800 exhibitors).
