Livique (formerly TopTip) belongs to the Coop Group, based in Switzerland, and offers a wide range of high quality furniture. In most cases, these are produced exclusively in Switzerland and assembled for customers. Originally started as a pure mattress factory, the product range was expanded to include bedroom furniture and accessories.
The Goal
Livique had plans for a user-friendly online configurator to be created. Given that customization is an important part of the user journey in retail, with brands like Levi's even getting in on the action, the online configurator was intended to allow the customer to design their furniture individually and get inspired by the possibilities. To avoid external dependency, the feature needed to be integrated into Livique's existing e-commerce system.
The Implementation
Valtech provided both front-end and back-end implementation for the integration of the configurator into the toolset that was already on premise. The configurator allows customers to fully customize their selected product and view it in different combinations and colors. As a basis, the data provided by the suppliers is used and visualized.
The Result

By integrating the configurator into the existing system of Livique, a modular use of the feature was made possible, which can be used without the purchase and implementation of additional external services. After a four-month development phase, the configurator launched successfully.
