Senior Business Analyst (all genders)

A day in the life of a Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst you play an essential role within the project. Your main mission is to understand the client and project needs and bring in your expertise to build next-generation solutions all in an agile Scrum/Devops environment in close collaboration with our international and multidisciplinary teams – very often also acting as a Proxy Product Owner to support our client-side Product Owners in working with their stakeholders and shaping the solution.

What you will be doing

  • You are responsible for supporting, guiding and understanding the needs of our clients about their requested delivery objects.
  • You act as a trusted advisor to our clients, identifying innovative solutions to address their project specific needs, requirements and demands, and document them in a clear and binding way.
  • You plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation
  • You are responsible for the end-to-end requirements engineering process including breaking down the requirements into epics, building and creating user stories and acceptance criteria
  • You work in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders – elicit, document, validate, and manage project requirements.
  • You are responsible for the definition & documentation of workflows and business logic
  • You support the Product Owners by prioritizing the backlog and facilitating team ceremonies tasks including but not limited to; sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives etc.
  • You are comfortable to conduct and lead client meetings, workshops, presentations, and demos.
  • You work in close collaboration with Product Owners, Designers, Developers and Testers, acting as a key interface between business and technical.
  • You furthermore support the project management team in ensuring that project scope is maintained.

Essential Expertise

You are a curious person, keen to familiarise in a new context, communicative and love to connect with people? And you can capture, synthesise and formulate what you learn in a precise and immediately understandable way? That’s the key ingredients. Besides these traits,

  • You have 6+ years of relevant work experience within a Business Analyst / Requirements position collaborating with cross functional technical and non-technical teams building and delivering technical solutions.
  • You are highly knowledgeable within Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering, can appropriately select best practices, define processes, and apply these practices properly.
  • You have demonstrable experience and knowledge within the application of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • You have knowledge of software solutions in the area of content management, digital experience platforms, or e-commerce and are familiar with corresponding platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Optimizely, Contentstack, Contentful or Commercetools. Terms such as PIM, CMS and DAM are not foreign to you.
  • You hold relevant education or equivalent level of experience subject specific to Business Analysis / Requirements Engineering
  • You understand how to work successfully and collaborate within a Project team delivering and building technical solutions.
  • You can work both within a team environment and individually.
  • You are a proficient German and English communicator.
