The role

We are now looking for a Client Partner, with substantial experience partnering with enterprise size organisations, to join our UK Growth team at Valtech. As a Client Partner at Valtech you will be the senior leader across a £multi-million portfolio of accounts. You’ll develop and nurture our most senior-level key client relationships and it will be your responsibility to lead and motivate a delivery team to deliver fantastic work and own the longer-term strategic direction, planning and growth of your accounts.

As their trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with senior clients providing them with true digital leadership, in turn driving opportunities for new business from within. You’ll inspire client teams in your capacity as their strategic partner and you’ll motivate internal teams to develop and consistently over-deliver. You will be adept at interpreting and adding value to new client briefs, always thinking about the longer-term ambition and objectives of your clients and their business, engaging with all teams and disciplines to deliver the very best work possible.

Role responsibilities

In your role as a Client Partner at Valtech you can expect to build and nurture ongoing relationships with your peers across the business. You will be actively seeking out and developing opportunities to bring in our broader specialisms and you’ll be excited about driving our exciting offering.

You will be expected to bring your strategic thinking and considered opinions and recommendations whilst being respectful of others. You’ll challenge thinking and won’t accept the status quo to ensure the right outcome.

You can expect to be accountable for the commercials across your account portfolio - working with your peers and Portfolio Director to ensure account profitability and accurate forecasting. You’ll be required to be one step ahead of the Finance Director and ensure that you are always tracking performance against annual targets and quickly identifying potential gaps around how you can look to plug them.

You’ll be responsible for owning and leading the Account Planning across your client portfolio – building on your in-depth knowledge of your clients and their businesses to identify the right areas of focus and working collaboratively with Practice Leads, and senior stakeholders across the business where appropriate, to develop and implement the strategic vision for your accounts.

A key focus of your role will be on the longer-term development and growth of your accounts. You’ll be tasked with leading on business development opportunities across your account portfolio - developing, owning and presenting plans and proposals that will add more value for our clients and drive additional revenue for the agency.

You’ll also support on net new business proposals, where appropriate, working closely with the new business team and the practice leads to input into pitches and proposals.

Importantly, you’ll be a team player that genuinely cares about what they do and the people they do it with.

Qualifications

We are looking for somebody with substantial experience working within a Digital Transformation consultancy selling digital technology solutions. It is also important that candidates have previous experience of working closely with and managing large scale clients within the Financial Services industry. Reporting into our Portfolio Director for Financial Services you will be organised, proactive and keen to act as a highly visible, trusted advisor to all stakeholders.

  • Strategic leader - you’ll be able to offer clear and concise strategic guidance backed up by experience and rigour. You will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of your accounts – creating and implementing Account Plans, strategically identifying new growth opportunities, and delivering compelling proposals that help drive value for our clients and revenue for the agency. You’ll work closely with senior teams across the business, to ensure alignment on your Account Plans, to be the figurehead for your accounts and to ensure that the team are all working together towards the same goals
  • Organised – you’ll be totally on the ball, someone who gets things done and orchestrates action
  • Relationship builder – tenacious by nature, you’ll seamlessly forge robust senior relationships with clients, internal teams, and other agency partners – representing the agency and reinforcing your position of digital leadership. You’ll be accountable for your client relationships and will look to forge true partnerships with them
  • Knowledgeable – you’ll feel totally confident dealing with the complexities of working with different teams/disciplines, channels, platforms and partner agency mixes
  • Ownership – you will be trusted, considered, friendly and hold yourself accountable
  • Team player – you are happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in to ensure you and your team deliver
  • Enjoy working with people who care about what they do - you’ll have an opinion, but you won’t mind too much when someone tells you it’s wrong

  • Financial expert – you’ll work with your delivery teams to ensure client profitability and accurate financial forecasting
  • A keen eye for quality – you know good work when you see it – you have sound and robust judgement backed up with experience and a clear rationale
  • Compelling presenter – you’ll be able to hold a room with your presentation skills and style, seamlessly selling strategic ideas and solutions
