A day in the life of a Fullstack Lead Developer
As a Fullstack Lead Developer at Valtech, you will have a dual role as both a hands-on developer and a lead responsible for guiding the development team in delivering top-tier technical solutions. You will be accountable for the technical direction and successful delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with the client’s business objectives.
In addition, you will:
- Act as a technical consultant for our clients, understanding their business challenges and providing effective technical solutions
- Designing, developing, and deploying fullstack solutions across various technologies to meet client requirements
- Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery, ensuring that the technical aspects of the project meet or exceed client expectations
- Engage in client meetings, workshops, and presentations, maintaining alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and best practices within the development teams
You and the role
You are someone with 8-10+ years of experience in working across both front-end and back-end technologies and have previous experience from a similar tech lead role. You're comfortable navigating diverse tech stacks, and you take pride in writing clean, maintainable code.
You have a passion for building innovative, maintainable, and scalable solutions, and are capable of making high-level technical decisions. You're a natural leader, able to guide and inspire the development team while ensuring accountability for deliverables.
We would love if you have
- 8-10+ years of fullstack development experience, with a focus on .NET / C#, Node.js, or similar backend technologies, as well as modern frontend frameworks like React, TypeScript, or Vue.js and HTML, CSS
- Proven experience as a tech lead, including taking ownership of technical delivery, development team performance, and overall project success
- A willingness to move freely within the entire technology stack and experience working in agile working environment (with tools like Jira and Confluence)
- Experience working with CMS or eCommerce platforms including understanding of headless CMS architectures, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies
- Experience in database design, queries and web storage
- Experience with API design, API maintenance and versioning
- Experience with DevOps practices and cloud applications
- Ability to work on-site 1-2 days a week in Gothenburg
- Strong communication skills, fluency in English and Swedish
