Yesterday, September 12th, the Web Marketing Association announced the winners of the annual international WebAward Competition. The Valtech digital agency was awarded two Best of Industry awards for outstanding achievement in web development:
“It’s a huge recognition for us to win international awards for our work within digital business development. Both normann-copenhagen.com and Jabra.com are lifted to a level above that of being a “website”. Both sites are highly innovative in communication, technology and design and we are extremely proud of both solutions,” says Mari-Ann Herloff Mortensen, Director, Sales and Market Development, Valtech.
Entries in the WebAward competition are judged on seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
“It’s the full circle digital solution we are being judged on and that is pretty powerful,” says Mari-Ann Herloff Mortensen and continues: “Awards that honour the total solution are really attractive for us and those are primarily to be found outside of Denmark. The competition we are facing is definitely harder, but being an international agency with international clients we are happy to compete on this level.”
It’s the 16th annual WebAward Competition for Website development and more than 2,000 entries from 42 countries were adjudicated in 2012.
Normann-Copenhagen.com – Best Design Website
For the Normann Copenhagen website Valtech achieved maximum score in the categories: design, content, technology, interactivity and copywriting. The site was launched in May 2012 and besides the WebAward it got awarded several other international awards, among others Awwwards Site Of The Day, Best Web Design Award and Communication Arts webpick of the week.
”Our new digital home has truly given us the online platform we wanted. It’s easy for our customers to purchase, interact and get inspired when visiting our site, and that was our main goal when we started the initial process. We are extremely proud of this award and it’s an extra cadeau to our unique partnership with Valtech,” says Trine Pernille Lops, CFO, Normann Copenhagen.
Jabra.com – Best Electronic Website
Jabra.com has just rolled out to 18 countries and it’s a project that puts Valtech to the top within several categories in web development. The judges gave top scores in the categories: design, content, technology and interactivity. “The fact that we win Best of Industry with an ambitious solution like Jabra.com really means a lot to us. Both the Valtech and Jabra teams have put so much passion and dedication into this project and it’s a great honour that the effort pays off with this great recognition,” says Mari-Ann Herloff Mortensen.
