Gartner names Valtech marketing leader Kerry Penny as CMO of the year
At Kin + Carta, Kerry led the merger of marketing teams from several acquired businesses and turned them into a single, global, scalable marketing organization.

CHICAGO — Valtech is proud to announce that Kerry Penny, our SVP and Global Head of Brand & Content, was named CMO of the Year at the 2024 Gartner Marketing & Communications Awards.
Gartner’s judges cited her “exemplary demonstration of exceptional leadership in navigating the challenges of being a marketing leader” as a deciding factor in the competition. Also stating during the ceremony, “the judges praised her strategic, data-driven approach and clear demonstration of marketing’s impact on growth and revenue” and “all CMOs should see this entry”.
Kerry Penny joined Valtech through our 2024 acquisition of digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta, where she led marketing and employee value proposition.
Penny’s award application spotlighted her leadership through M&A, her empowerment of the team through strategic alignment with the business, her transformation of cross-functional global processes, and her energy to expand her role to become accountable for employee experiences.
