Key Responsibilities:
As a Java - Senior Developer, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain robust, high-performance, and scalable Java applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices, and avoid potential performance issues.
- Integrate software components and third-party APIs.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership to the development team, mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge to improve overall team capabilities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as required.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
Required Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Java development of enterprise grade using below spread of skills set.
- Java (Min version 8, but nice to have v17.x)
- Spring (Boot)
- Hibernate/JPA
- Postgres SQL
- Unit and Integration testing
- Experience leading a team
- Experience working in agile teams
- Excellent communication skills with good command of English
Nice to have skillset:
- Elasticsearch
- AngularJS
- Gradle
- Familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform
- Test Driven Development
Aside from the tech stack:
- Comfortable leading meetings with the customer
- A willingness to learn not just new tech skills but the business domain as well
- Attention to detail and quality
