Agile Software Development Partnership with GoPro

Valtech has strategically partnered with GoPro to help bring new software product features to market faster by adding a highly skilled outside engineering and product innovation perspective to the team.

We were there when they needed us. Valtech has been specifically assigned to solve challenging development initiatives that need to get done with velocity, and with fewer internal hurdles. In other words, we were the on-call SWAT team for “impossible” engineering tasks.

This is an ongoing Agile software development partnership, with embedded mobile engineers working in-tandem with the GoPro software team to help launch new features.

One of the projects we worked on was getting video from a GoPro camera onto a phone for editing and sharing on social networks. The user experience wasn’t good when we dove in. We did our own research, figured out the sticking points, and went to work to solve them.

After our user testing was complete we built GoPro prototypes of an improved user interface. That led to our engineering team jumping in with the GoPro team to help build “Capture”, GoPro’s beautifully designed new mobile application to make the process of video editing easy and fun.
