Valtech Deploys Major Virtual Event with Uni-Select Canada
March 10, 2021
On January 15, 16 and 17, Uni-Select Canada hosted a major virtual event on Canada’s automotive aftermarket: AUTOXPO 2021. Sponsored by Bumper To Bumper, AUTOXPO brought together Uni-Select Canada’s national network of partners. In total, close to 1,200 participants logged on to the event’s platform from various locations across Canada.
“With the current health situation, it was unfeasible to hold this event in person. But at the same time, the financial and strategic implications were too great to skip it entirely. And so, virtualizing the event became the only solution to continue having these meetings in 2021 and for years to come.”
Martin Lessard, Vice President Marketing and Digital Strategy - Uni-Select Canada
This type of gathering, which usually takes place face-to-face to encourage exchanges, meetings and sales, had never before been imagined in a virtual version. It was a totally unique experience for event participants, but also for the organizers.
To make up for the lack of physical interaction, a great deal of effort was invested into creating a user experience that optimizes exchanges and facilitates contact. The experts at Valtech, in collaboration with Uni-Select Canada, imagined, designed and deployed this unique event experience, which aims to become an enduring virtual meeting space for industry members for years to come. From organization to implementation, including technological thinking, design, content and of course technical support, the teams at Valtech worked hand in hand with Uni-Select Canada to support their business objectives and offer an experience worthy of an in-person show.
“This was an ambitious project and a significant challenge in the time available to us, but our virtual events team, in collaboration with Uni-Select Canada, met the challenge with flying colours.”
Damien Lefebvre, Executive VP, North America – Valtech
Valtech and Uni-Sélect Canada have successfully offered a virtual meeting that is not to be missed for the next few years and that’s sure to inspire other organizations in Canada and elsewhere.
