This position is offered as a one-year contract to cover maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent role during or following the conclusion of the contract.

Back to the role:

What you will do:

As a Partner, People and Culture, you will assume a consulting role with Valtech managers and employees. More specifically, you will propose practical, innovative solutions adapted to the HR needs of managers. You will participate in the development and deployment of organizational development projects, including employee experience, talent management and skills development.

Strategic Partnering:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention;
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation;
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on effective leadership, performance management, employee development and navigating complex HR issues.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations;
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Collaborate with managers to create a motivating work environment.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Promote employee mobilization and commitment through performance indicators and internal tools;
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and develop solutions, programs, and policies;
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on workforce analytics to support business decisions.

HR Processes and Policies:

  • Coordinate and collaborate for the HR annual cycle (performance management, career development, salary review, talent review, etc.);
  • Guide and support the performance management process, providing training, coaching, and development plans;
  • Conduct analysis to understand performance trends and implement strategies to enhance performance;
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Others

  • Oversee the maintenance of employee records via Ceridian;
  • Participate actively in Valtech's social life by proposing ideas and taking part in the organization of activities.


    What you should have:

    • Bachelor in human resources management / industrial relations;
    • Member of the CHRP (an asset);
    • At least 5 to 7 years of experience, preferably in a complex and fast-paced technical environment;
    • A skilled communicator (written and oral) in both French and English;
    • Comfortable working in an agile environment and has a high tolerance for ambiguity;
    • Autonomous and able to work with minimal supervision;
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to HR challenges;
    • Organized and has a sense of project management;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Results oriented and customer service oriented;
    • Comfortable managing priorities and juggling multiple projects at the same time;
    • Comfortable working with the Microsoft suite and ability to learn quickly other tools.
    • Comfortable with HR tools such as Lattice, Peakon, Dayforce/Ceridian (an asset)
